Agritourism Ontario Launches “ON Farm Fun” App to Connect Visitors with Authentic Farm Experiences Across the Province
May 4, 2026 – Agritourism Ontario is proud to announce the official launch of its new mobile app, ON Farm Fun, designed to make it easier than ever for residents and visitors to discover and enjoy authentic agricultural experiences across Ontario.
The ON Farm Fun app is a comprehensive, user-friendly platform that connects users with a wide range of on-farm activities, including pick-your-own produce, farm tours, seasonal festivals, markets, workshops, and family-friendly attractions. By bringing together farms from across the province in one convenient digital space, the app aims to strengthen connections between consumers and local food producers while supporting rural communities.
“With the launch of ON Farm Fun, we’re creating a simple and engaging way for people to explore Ontario’s vibrant agritourism offerings,” said Kevin Vallier, CEO of Agritourism Ontario. “This app helps bridge the gap between urban and rural communities, making it easier for everyone to experience where their food comes from and to support local farms.”
Key features of the ON Farm Fun app include:
- An interactive map to help users find nearby farms and agritourism destinations
- Search and filter tools based on location, activities, and seasonal offerings
- Real-time updates on farm hours, events, and availability
- Curated itineraries and suggested farm trails
- Direct links to farm websites and contact information
“The ON Farm Fun app is an innovative tool that helps connect people with incredible agritourism experiences that are available across the province,” said Trevor Jones, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness. “We are proud to support the launch of this app which encourages families to explore, learn and buy local while supporting farm businesses.”
Agritourism Ontario partnered with Kitchener, ON-based BitBakery to develop the ON Farm Fun mobile application. BitBakery CEO Wes Worsfold said the company was excited to work on an app to help more people discover local food, drinks, and experiences at family-owned farms across Ontario.
“There’s so much magic in our own backyards that we sometimes miss,” Worsfold said. “We wanted to make sure the ON Farm Fun app did more than list farms. It is a virtual tour guide for discovering everything from family activities to weekend getaways.”
The app is designed for a wide range of users—from families looking for weekend outings to tourists seeking unique local experiences. It also serves as a valuable promotional tool for farmers, helping them reach new audiences and grow their businesses. “
Agritourism Ontario developed ON Farm Fun as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting local agriculture, enhancing rural tourism, and supporting the economic sustainability of farms across the province. “We are very grateful for the support of Foodland Ontario and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness for their support of this project,” said AO board chair, Melinda McArthur. “We believe this is an exciting project that will benefit both farm visitors and farm owners.”
The ON Farm Fun app is now available for download on iOS and Android devices.
